Our new Primary presidency has been in for almost a whole month now. I can’t believe how time flies! We decided to do sharing time monthly. I volunteered to teach the first month and now it’s my last week! 🙁 Our secretary teaches on the fifth Sundays. I have come to love teaching sharing time, especially Senior Primary! I was so scared for senior primary my first Sunday. In our Ward it seems as though somehow Senior Primary has about an extra 8 minutes of Sharing time. But Senior Primary actually worked out better then Junior Primary! Senior Primary answers questions and acts interested in what I am telling them. I love how I can discuss so many things with them and they understand. Don’t get me wrong, I love love love Junior Primary as well. The kids are so amazed by small things, which brings me great joy in this calling!
I always have to find more things to add in the lesson after I go over the Sharing Time Outline provided by the church. So that is when I turn to my two most favorite sites to help me with primary.

sofiasprimaryideas.blogspot.com. These two help me tremendously! I wanted to share some ideas that I had decided to do from inspiration from these two sites. I have other things that I am going to do, but I didn’t think of it. So I am just doing the ones that I thought of or tweaked! Here you go!
1. In the Outline it says to think of people who might save lives. I picked, policeman, fireman, lifeguard, and a military soldier. I went to the dollar store and bought these items, a shield, handcuffs, and a tan hat (that I am going to spray paint red.) I also made the red and white ring, from a paper plate. I just cute out the middle and colored the parts with permanent marker.
Probably only doing this for Jr. Primary.
I am going to pick 4 kids to come up one at a time and have them hold or put on the item, then they can act like the person they are trying to be, or just stand there holding the item. The children then have to guess who the kids are. For example: the shield is for a military guy, handcuffs for police, hat for fireman, and the life saver for lifeguard.
2. I adapted this idea from Sofia’s primary ideas, but twisted it a bit to my liking. For Sr. Primary I am going to have them write down there testimony of the Savior on this cute scrap book paper. Then I am going to challenge them to tape it in their journal. Then they can look back at it as they grow older and they can see how their testimony strengthens and changes throughout the years.
3. At the end of my lesson I am going to give the kids this paper that I made.
